The new Prototype head inherits
the [D] with even more flight distance
and a revised club design.
It is not always good enough to simply be easy to
hit as some players require more stability
and a head that can handle more power
and the hard hitter.
The face angle is 1 degree open.
The center of gravity length is 40mm which helps power hitters alleviate their fear of pulling the ball or hitting hooks. The shape of the head has been tightened up from the previous model with the Prototype projecting more of a pear shape.
The sharper shape gives players a sense of security at address and an image of the ideal trajectory at address.
A shallower center of gravity depth reduces “head droop” during impact allowing the head to stay online through the impact zone. This creates more efficient energy transfer and a more square impact for better drives. The bulge and roll of the driver has also been designed with power hitters in mind, stabilizing spin and reducing side spin. Ball speeds up with a powerful stable trajectory for more fairway keeps.
